Catnets.com.au supplies Angled Fence Brackets used for fence line netting installations. These are made to last and are a unique, top quality product. They are made of heavy duty 25mm x 25mm galvanised metal. Strong enough to hold any net, these poles add a professional finish to your installation and are available either "Powdercoated" or in Un-Painted Galvanised Silver. They come pre-drilled ready for fence and netting attachment.
Catnets.com.au reinterates that these are heavy duty brackets designed to last. To help minimise any potential problems, we recommend the poles are fitted to your fence by a suitable handyman/woman. We also suggest consulting your neighbours before commencing the installation.
Basic Principle:
The design is based on the premise that cats dislike climbing upside down on an unstable surface. Apart from the obvious physical barrier that this creates, the netting also acts as a VISUAL deterant to potential attempted escapes. The brackets are fastened to the fence, with the netting placed over the top and back of brackets.
We recommend the use of the 1.8m wide Low-Vis 19mm netting, as it is less noticeable when installed.
The netting can be fastened to the brackets using our UV treated cable ties. Catnets.com.au recommends installing a wire rope system along the highest TIP of the brackets to help keep the netting taught between brackets. The netting can then be cable tied to the tensioned wire rope for added strength and a taught and professional finish. Furthermore, the brackets are pre-drilled with a second hole for a wire rope along the back of the brackets. See adjacent images for examples.
