Featured Installation - Precision DIY
We here at catnets.com.au rate this as one of the finest DIY cat netting installations. From the photos you will notice the attention to detail, good use of materials, and quality workmanship. You will notice how difficult it is to see the netting!
You can also see use of the black edging rope, L-Shaped Zipper Kit, Wire Rope Systems and Net Clips. It is a fantastic space, a great result and the cats are loving it!
"I just thought i would share my pictures of my verandah enclosure that i completed today, finally.
Thanks heaps, the cats are loving it. It is going to double as protection from the possums for my tomatoes and other vegetables that normally get munched before i have a chance to get to them.
I ended up using 18 x 18mm timber, rope and a U staple gun for the vertical edges so as to not hammer directly into the large timber posts of the verandah, then just screwed the timber edging to the main posts in three places. The staple gun (only $20 at Bunnings) with flat staples was useful to attach the zipper to a 18 x 18mm timber as well.
On the entrance end panel i used tiny screws with a 5mm gap along with the rope edge for the top, bottom and one side edge so that the three sides of the panel can be removed to move large items in and out of the enclosure. I found the pictures of other enclosures very helpful in working out how to go about mine, so hopefully someone else might be able to use my pictures to help"
